Workshops & Talks

Louise is available to deliver workshops, Q&A sessions and talks about the roles of women in the First World War and her research to people of all ages and all musical abilities. Workshops generally use the subject matter to support the development of tools and strategies for songwriting.

Louise is a qualified teacher, youth worker and music leader with fourteen years’ experience, she has a portable DBS.

Commissions

Previous commissions include the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and Salisbury Arts Centre. The Groninger Museum, Netherlands commissioned Louise to write a song about Aletta Jacobs, the first Dutch woman to qualify as a physician and a prominent peace campaigner during the First World War, for their permanent art exhibition. UK Parliament’s #Vote100 project commissioned Louise to write a song commemorating the centenary of the Representation of the People Act.
